...Launches Book titled "POLITICS AND MORALS "

Bishop of Ogoja Diocese, Most Rev. Dr. Donatus Edet Akpan hosts class mates and 1985 ordination mates, at St Benedict cathedral Ogoja.
About 42 priests who were ordained in 1985 alongside with the Most Rev. Dr. Donatus Edet Akpan Bishop of Ogoja Diocese, paid a solidarity visit to the Bishop at St. Benedict cathedral Ogoja.
At ordination, the priests were 52 in number, unfortunately 10 departed to be with the LORD, living them at 42.
It has been the tradition for these good friends to come together yearly to celebrate and thank God for the unity and love that has kept them from 1985 through this moment and this time, it was the turn of Most Rev. Dr. Donatus to host his colleagues.
Among the 42 Priests, 2 have been ordained Bishop; Most Rev. Dr. Donatus Edet Akpan Bishop of Ogoja Diocese, and Most Rev. Denis Isiaus aka auxiliary Bishop, others are still Rev. Fathers doing marvellously well to the glory of God.

While addressing newsmen, the Bishop stated that he is most delighted to host his brothers whom he has shared a large part of his life with, he said "I am pleased for the gracious opportunity to host my brothers as this is an opportunity which I have longed for, our aim among others is to sanitize the political system in Nigeria specifically. We are taking a leap from his Holiness Most Rev. Matthew Kuka, the Archbishop of Sokoto Diocese who has relentlessly stood up for a clean system".
A book on politics, titled "POLITICS AND MORALS" written by Most Rev. Dr. Donatus Edet Akpan the Bishop of Ogoja Diocese was also launched at the event. In the book Rev. Donatus emphasizes on the application of morals to politics. He says politics is not a game for the devil and his agents, but for God's people to conquer darkness, backwardness and give God's people victory on the earth.
The event started with Thanksgiving mass, presided over by the Bishop and his colleague at the Cathedral, thereafter, reception follows immediately.
