Mr. Leo Inyambe, SSA North, Adds Another Feather to His Cap

Security, described as freedom from harm or danger, has been given a major boost by the Government of Cross River State, following the recent decision of Governor Ayade to decentralize the office of the State Security Adviser to the Governor.
Mr. Leo Inyambe, one of the recently appointed SSA to Governor Ayade, has taken a step further in this regard. Based on his belief that security is not a business of one man or few persons, he has been consulting different stakeholders to ensure that lives, properties, environment and reputation of Cross River are all secured.
In the light of the above, he called on the unions and associations of all transporters in the five L.G.A.s of Cross River North at about 11:00 A.M. today, to explain the rationale for the decentralization effort as well as call on them to be part and parcel of ensuring a secure and safe Cross River North.
Addressing them in his office at the Governor's Lodge, GRA, Ogoja today, Mr. Leo said, "I have invited you hear to explain the misunderstood rationale for decentralizing the office of the State Security Adviser, by the Digital Governor. The Governor realized the importance of security and the need to reach out to the grass root. He is aware this task is too enormous to rest on the shoulder of one man; it is through a collective effort that we can create the enabling environment for our daily endeavours. We cannot go about our businesses, live in our homes comfortably or ply a road safely, in an environment that is devoid of security." He further stated' "We now find ourselves in an era when the lives of everyone - young or old, man or woman, boy or girl, servant or master, politician and electorate, etc, mean much to the government of the day."
Responding, the stakeholders lauded the Executive Governor of Cross River State, Senator Ben Ayade, stating that his initiative of decentralization is a step in the right direction. Participants in the briefing include, National Automobile and Technical Association (NATA), National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Community Relation Officers (CROs), motor park operators and Cyclist Union. They all accepted to give Mr. Leo their maximum support, promising tp report any security breach, especially during the Yuletide period that is characterized by the menace of illicit activities.
Union leaders from the hills of Obanliku to the vast land of Yala were in attendance and pledged to take the message home to their members.
Further praising the Governor, the participant commended him of his involvement of youth in the affairs of government, stating that young people, such as Mr. Leo Inyambe, are best suited for the job of security which demands proactivity, energy and sense of urgency.
We must commend the effort of this industrious young man, who has added another feather to his cap. With God on his side and support of the Digital Governor, we believe that the message o peace, safety and security will reach the nook and crannies of Cross River North and Cross River State.
God bless Cross River North!
God bless Cross River State!!
God bless Nigeria!!!
