The Cross river state Chairperson for Child protection commission,Chief Mrs.Theresa Ezama added more feathers to her cap, as she was honoured recently with two leadership awards in recognition of her contribution towards the growth of the commission and service to humanity.
The Institute of corporate Administration of Nigeria on the 12th of October conferred on her the Award of Excellence as a pillar of community development and for outstanding performance as an ADMINISTRATOR.
The leadership of the institution, who presented the Award to Chief Mrs.Ezama, extolled her leadership qualities and urged her not to relent in her good work.
The leadership of the institution lauded Ezama’s capacity building initiatives, which had motivated several youths to invest their energies in productive ventures.
That the Chairperson is piloting the affairs of the commission with utmost prudence and efficiency, and enhanced the integrity of public service. According to the institution, her visionary leadership brought rapid transformation in the commission, raising it to an enviable standard through the provision of ideas,innovations and initiatives.
While receiving the awards, Chief Mrs. Ezama expressed joy that her modest achievements were recognised by some people. She stressed the need for selfless leadership that would enhance both community and national development.
She promised to sustain her zeal in pursuing policies and programmes that will help the society.
She said: “Before assuming this office, I wrote my mission statement and I thank God that we have been striving to build a working commission within the limits of available resources”.
