But first, WHY MUST GOVERNOR BEN AYADE DECIDED TO WITHHOLD DECLAN OGAR-GENESIS' MONTHLY STIPENDS (SALARIES) FOR MANY MONTHS RUNNING WITHOUT GIVING A SACK LETTER IF AT ALL, HIS SERVICES TO CROSS RIVER STATE GOVERNMENT IS NO LONGER NEEDED? When will this administration begins to do the right thing for once?

WHO SIGH?

(Who Even Cares To Listen To All These Stories?)

Why is governor is this brutal with those that worked assiduously for him to become governor?

But first, WHY MUST GOVERNOR BEN AYADE DECIDED TO  WITHHOLD DECLAN OGAR-GENESIS' MONTHLY STIPENDS (SALARIES) FOR MANY MONTHS RUNNING WITHOUT GIVING A SACK LETTER IF AT ALL, HIS SERVICES TO CROSS RIVER STATE GOVERNMENT IS NO LONGER NEEDED? When will this administration begins to do the right thing for once?

As someone who was earlier duly appointed (meritoriously) with signed "Appointment Letter" handed over to by the Governor who is also doubled and addressed as "His Excellency", I see no reason why, if he's by any means found 'wanting' for whatever reason(s),  he won't be issued a "letter of disengagement' or call it a "sack letter",  rather than coming to noticed that his monthly salaries (stipends) have been suddenly stopped unlike other appointees. In life, people thought that "His Excellency" as the word goes, perhaps implying 'genuineness', 'right doing', 'credibility' and if possible,, 'infallibility' as against illegality all over.

But come to talk on this, what is it that, a 'regular appointee' must do or commit before he could be released from his appointment, except in a case of voluntary resignation?

Seeing that Declan Ogar-Genesis' salaries are being withheld without a duly notification is one great surprise I have experienced in recent times. And to me, it is a man-inhumanity-to-man I can ever think of.

Truly, the government is not just, neither is it sincere to itself let alone, to others.

How can the government be a just one when after all, people were both appointed into the government as SPECIAL ASSISTANTS TO GOVERNOR, and the governor in question suddenly, noticing that the monthly salary for the portfolio of a SPECIAL ASSISTANT was nothing to go home with, or befitting the individuals involved. And then, some amongst the category of the Special Assistant were  promoted to the position of SPECIAL ADVISER and some even SENIOR SPECIAL ADVISER all because of the salivating salary and allowances attached to the other portfolios leaving Declan Ogar-Genesis at the same position which was earlier given altogether. Just because, Declan Ogar-Genesis is from Yala and the others are from Obudu or brothers or  relatives to the governor right?

Before, people held on to  the belief that 'the more you put in, the more you can reap'. But, in Governor Ayade's case, such is a wrong position. It's  never true. This society is not just anymore.

How can, about seven (7) months salaries of certain group of appointees which were being held aback, and the salary arrears was demanded for, and later, it was released to some of the affected appointees of the same category mostly the once from Obudu, leaving Declan Ogar-Genesis behind. When he asked for his own, he was told; "the governor has not approved yours". Why? I can't explain. What an unjust world. How did we get to this level?

All promises failed? Why? No explanation. Who will continue to bear such ill treatment? A coward, or a hopeless being? Or just an "inpatient person" who won't be calm? Patient for how long?

As an appointee in Ayade's government, you asked for an office apartment, it wasn't provided. Whereas, your immediate colleagues got theirs and even additional. As an appointee in Governor Ayade's administration, you applied for a mobility vehicle, you're not given. Yet, your immediate colleagues have more than one, and even go about in convoy courtesy of the same government you both are serving. What an unjust government?
As an appointee of government, occasions that your immediate colleagues held and government present was felt both physically, mentally and financially. But for some other appointee's case, it wasn't considered for any of the benefits either. What an unjust government.

But how did we get to this in the first place? Where were those hooligans who are being favoured maximally now then when the likes of Comrade Declan Ogar-Genesis were almost everywhere raising their voices, protesting, and demanding for the NORTHERN GOVERNOR? Where were they when they were insisting IT MUST BE SEN PROF BEN AYADE FOR GOVERNOR WHETHER THE DEVIL LIKES IT OR NOT?

Where were them when them Declan were at the front lines of everything people are seeing today as benefits, not just having a northern man as governor, but Prof Ben Ayade of Obudu extraction as the governor of Cross River State? Where were them?

Truly, truly the world is totally an unjust world. Only the wrong people takes the lead.

Giving that Declan wasn't appointed to praisesing the governor and campaign for his second term bid, whether the governor is doing satisfactorily or not, what would then warranted the stoppage of Declan's salaries from coming to him and his 7 months salary arrears not releasing to him like others who got theirs long time ago. I thought as a bona fide Cross Riverian like Declan, and an appointee of government who is also entitled to all the benefits that being given as an appointee of government,  where did Declan got it wrong?

This is the same government that is accommodating people from different parts of the country and beyond. The same government that more than 50℅ of its appointees are not resident in Calabar, let alone in Cross River State. The same government that a 2 minutes entertainer goes home with heavy amount that an appointee of government cannot receive in all the period that he may serve. This is the same government that salary structure as well as the allowances of appointees of the same appointment/portfolio varies. This government must have nothing like JUSTICE in its dictionary. What a government?

I can't even tell the story to the end. Is there anyone who is also affected by this injustice?

What is then the Declan Ogar-Genesis' offence that his salaries should be ceased?

No wonder, somebody   whose salaries were once ceased in this form quoted the governor saying; "i think you now learnt lessons by the hunger that dealt with you within these periods that your salaries were ceased?"

O it's a government of putting-food-on-the-table of some other appointees, while others are building houses, opening companies and other investments in the same government they all serve. If the person in question had surrendered by that threat, is it everyone that will toll such unbefitting and undeserving lines? What were the current appointees who now have their food-on-the-table eating before, that made them stayed alive until they got the current appointment that is now bringing food-on-their-table, of which, without, they might not survive anymore?

Besides, real government is not judged by the position someone is giving. The reason why promoting appointees as if they are civil servants becomes questionable.
If you're appointed as a street sweeper, you will have no course to wanting to be a commissioner only because of the salary difference. If and only if the entitlements of a street sweeper are being given to such appointee genuinely and regularly too. And that of commissioner is giving to him at the same time.

Hon Hilary Bisong was a Personal Assistant to Sen Liyel Imoke. Today, because he got all his entitlements as a PA, he won election into Cross River State House of Assembly. So also, Jesse Ejimot who is now contesting for House of Representative today, was a PA under Liyel Imoke.

Promoting Personal Assistant to Special Assistant, and then Special Adviser to commissioner cannot be the main aim of government or means of empowering your boys by salary scale.

Is life really just and fair to all. Why the unnecessary discrimination?

The truth must be told. The essence of this, is to liberate some affected individuals suffering the same pains, but cannot talk, and continue to feel the obvious pains.

However, in life, no pain, no gain. Yes, if them Declan Ogar-Genesis hadn't clamoured seriously for a northern governorship, we wouldn't have one today. And if they didn't back Sen Prof Ben Ayade vehemently, he wouldn't have become a governor today. May the Good Lord God Almighty continue to take the glory.

Six feet is where everybody shall go into, no matter who goes first or who is the last.

However it goes, the APPOINTMENT LETTER DECLAN OGAR-GENESIS IS STILL WITH HIM. He will claim all his entitlements in due time.

The story continues
