INVEST IN PEOPLE THE SECRET OF SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE AND SECRET TO THE TOP. Dr Stephen.

When you live for yourself, you live like a slave; but when you live beyond yourself, you live beyond your time:

It is required of anyone who wants to get to the TOP to be a people-developer. It has been said that to live for self is to live like a slave. I have also heard it said that a live for self is to live for less.

The degree to which you train people is the degree to which you will reign in life. It is not possible to raise people and you are not raised alongside. To invest in people is to harvest influence in life. Invest in people and you will invariably harvest influence. That is why every people-developer is a people-influencer. The most successful people earth are men and women that raised others, when you raise people, you will come to a point in your life where it becomes impossible for you to be stranded.

In all your pursuits in life, ensure that you pour into others. Pour into others the grace and the blessings of God. It will take you up and keep you up. Let there be someone you helped to stand.

Invest in people. Raise people. In every assignment you find yourself in, pour something into people. Change people's levels, and your level will never remain the same. Upgrade people's status and your status will keep changing. Upgrade people's destinies. It is a secret to the TOP.

Note: The degree to which you train people is the degree to which you will reign in life.

2019: Buhari to politicians, regulate your utterances

2019: Buhari to politicians, regulate your utterances

By Eje Peter,
ABUJA – PRESIDENT Mohammadu Buhari, Wednesday pleaded with the political actors to exhibit decorum in their conduct and utterances in order not to fan the embers of disunity as the November 18 official date to commence campaigns for the 2019 general election draws near.
President Buhari who made the appeal while launching the 2019 armed forces remembrance day emblem and appeal fund with a donation of N10 million to support Nigerian veterans and fallen heroes at the Council Chamber, Presidential Villa, Abuja, before the commencement of the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, said in every contest, there must be a winner.

According to him, “We would have no country to lead if our acts of deliberate incitement lead to the disintegration of our dear nation,’’ the President said in his address at the Council Chambers.
‘‘Let us put Nigeria first and realise that in every contest there must be one winner.”
He said that the celebration was a painful reminder of the perils of war and the need for the nation to avoid a recurrence.
He said, ‘‘The celebration forcefully reminds us of the resolve of our citizens to remain in one united country, Nigeria.
‘‘It also points out the fact that we had been through a bitter and unfortunate war that led to the loss of millions of our compatriots and the need to do all within our powers to avoid a reoccurrence of war.”
President Buhari appreciated the gallantry and sacrifices of the Nigerian Armed Forces in the campaign against insurgency and other internal security operations.
Noting that the efforts of the armed forces have led to the return of normalcy in affected parts of the nation, the President regretted the recent murder of two young and promising aid workers; Saifura Khorsa and Hauwa Liman by Boko Haram terrorists.
‘‘It is painful that this happened despite all the efforts of government to effect release of the two victims.
‘‘We condemn the callous and cowardly act in its entirety and call on all citizens and friends to forge a united front against this common enemy of our destiny.
‘‘Once more, I extend the heartfelt condolences of the Government and people of Nigeria to the families and friends of these martyrs,’’ the President said.
The Nigerian leader pledged that the resettlement and rehabilitation of citizens affected by the war on terror will continue, commending Dangote Foundation for its partnership with Government in the rebuilding process in Borno State.
The President, therefore, called on other corporate organisations to borrow a leaf from this noble initiative as Government alone cannot satisfy all the needs, given her limited resources.
President Buhari also expressed delight that businesses operating in Nigeria are beginning to give special consideration to members of the Armed Forces and veterans.
‘‘Specifically, some airlines operating in Nigeria offer discounts to members of the Armed Forces. This gesture is commendable and in line with my call for recognition, consideration and appreciation of our Armed Forces.
‘‘I urge more business ventures to chip in by assisting the Security Forces in whatever way they can,’’ he said.
The President also thanked charity organisations for taking up the task of catering for the welfare of veterans and members of the armed forces, adding that the nation owe a debt of gratitude to men and women of the armed forces who have the responsibility of securing the Nation, and ensuring a conducive environment for businesses to thrive.
On the Bill to amend the Nigerian Legion Act to a proposed “Veterans Federation of Nigeria” Act, the President urged the 8th National Assembly to give the proposed legislation, which seeks to ensure proper welfare and health condition of military veterans, quick attention.
‘‘As Grand Patron of the Nigerian Legion (Veterans), I wish to pledge my continued support and that of the Federal Government to the organisation.
‘‘My appreciation goes to State Governors who are patrons in their respective states for the support they are giving to the Legion. I enjoin them not to relent but improve on this,’’ he said.
President Buhari called on all Nigerians and others resident in Nigeria to procure and wear the emblems with pride to identify with those who laid down their lives for peace and security of our fatherland.
The President was accompanied to the event by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, members of the Federal Executive Council, Chief of Defence Staff, General Abayomi Olonisakin, service chiefs and the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, senior officers and veterans.
The Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali in his address said, “It is the desire of government that this act of remembrance be implanted in the hearts of all Nigerians so that we can on daily basis act in ways that show appreciation.
“We also owe it a duty to give consideration to the plight of the widows and orphans of our fallen heroes.

HON.JARIGBE AGOM, A GRASSROOT POLITICIAN

October 31,2018.

One of the quantities that defines the credibility of a political leader is his ability to carry his constituents along and meet their aspirations through faithful implementation of his electioneering promises.

This attribute, largely lacking in Nigeria’s political system, is what endears the politician to the electorate.

Unfortunately, electioneering promises often ladden with rosy pronouncements have become the bait that the average Nigerian politician employs to work on the psyche of the electorate, making them believe that their welfare will be a priority in his political agenda if elected.

But quite often, the reverse is the case as the masses whose votes are sought with fervent plea are shut out of the politician’s gate and denied communication contacts once his ambition is fulfilled.

However, in the multitude of political Actors, there still exist quite a good number whose tracks are ladden with appreciable measure of service delivery spurred by patriotic zeal to serve humanity.

One of such politicians is the lawmaker epresenting Yala/Ogoja  at the National Assembly.
The political ascendancy of this young man has some lessons in tenacity and moral principles for the present and up-coming generation of politicians

Hon.JARIGBE Agom may not wholly come under late professor Chunua Achebe’s classification of those whose palm Kernels were cracked for them by benevolent spirit.

His entry and meteoric rise in politics were a combination of divine favour, hard work, commitment, loyalty and a burning desire to render service to humanity.

These attributes solidify the pivot on which his political pendulum swings.

What distinguished Jarigbe’s political career from the vast majority is its grassroots support base. He is one politician whose fame is bolstered by the massive goodwill he had showered on those he had impacted their lives through his humanitarian gesture and service delivery.

The uncontrollable urge and enthusiasm to render service on a broader scale propelled him into partisan politics, where he started first as a grass root political bulldozer.
At the approach of the return to democratic rule in 1999, Hon.Jarigbe  joined the People’s Democratic Party PDP in 1998 after serving as leader and Cross river North co-ordinator of the Grassroot Democratic Movement .

He also served as the Cross river North co-ordinator of the Imoke’s campaign organization and was a voice of the Transition committee that ushered in Imoke’s administration .

Jarigbe’s emerging political visibility, exemplified by the key roles he started to play in Cross river  State politics accelerated the strategic role he occupied during the Imoke’s eight years tenure .

Jarigbe’s wise counsel and contributions in his strategic role in Northern Cross river, no doubt assisted the Imoke administration in stabilizing the polity with the attendant prevalence of peace and harmony in the multi-ethnic and politically volatile Cross river state.

His impressive grass root involvement during Duke and Imoke’s administrations bear testimony to the influence he wielded at the executive councils of the two regimes.

In 2015, he was elected into the green chamber to represent Yala/Ogoja Federal Constituency.

Hon.Jarigbe’s entry into politics after a spell in business was not accidental but a decision widely perceived as divinely programmed.

His passion to render service beyond the scope of a business man compelled him to drop his chemistry equipments a graduate of Chemistry for politics.

His constituency projects that cut across various sectors including roads, bridges, education, electricity, agriculture and Information Technology spread across the communities that constitute his constituency  are visible evidence of thorough   execution of schemes under the watch of a political leader.

These are complemented by his empowerment programmes where choice of materials distributed to beneficiaries such as tricycles, sewing and grinding machines, photocopying machines, deep freezers, computer sets and high roof buses for primary health care agencies, all worth millions of naira reflect the basic requirements of the needy in Cross river state urban and rural settlements.

Perhaps, the basic values that have enhanced  Hon.Jarigbe’s political visibility and endeared him to a broad spectrum of the electorate are his non-violent approach to politics, humanitarian disposition, commitment to service delivery as well as his receptive attitude to both the high and the law.

A man driven by action rather than garrulity, his belief that a man’s actions should reflect his words earned him the popular name “Talk and do” literarily meaning a man who does what he says.

The free medical services he rendered to the poor in his days as a grass root political mobilizer  remain indelible in their hearts.

His emergence as the People’s Democratic Party PDP Rep candidate for Yala/Ogoja in the 2015 general elections also attests to his political popularity.

Having served as
a grass root political mobilizer and
currently Hon, JARIGBE has diligently navigated the murky waters of Nigerian politics which have fully equipped him for occupation of any top post in the political arena.

And if his achievements and pedigree are to form the basic criteria for public assessment of his political vision and agenda, he stands tall above his fellow contestants in the race to the green Chamber in 2019.

My Take On MP Jarigbe & Chief Jude Ngaji. ~ Dr Ebriku

They were first brothers, friends, of the same political family, bonded together but now in opposing parties running for the same office to represent the good people of Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency.

They are fine gentlemen, dogged and with the capacity to make a mark.

You don't need to denigrate, throw tantrum, malign, cast aspersions on their persons or pitch one  against the other to project their candidacy.

We must respect their aspirations and support the one we prefer among them in the most objective and decent manner.

We must stand against violence and speak against it using our respective platform. Supporters of the both eminent and amiable candidates must know their aspirations is in our interest and the fact that we all pass through the same path.

If I am #Jarified it should not make me hate my brother who is #Judified...

We are all Ogoja. We are all Yala. We are one.

Justin Timberlake Opens Up About Britney Spears Breakup

Justin Timberlake Opens Up About Britney Spears Breakup
By Eje Peter
In the late 90s to the early 2000s, music stars, Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears used to be an adorable celebrity couple everyone wanted to be like until they broke up.

37-year-old Justin Timberlake in his new book, Hindsight: And All The Things I Can’t See in Front of Me has revealed some of the details of surrounding the classic song, Cry Me A River, which he wrote in reaction to him and Spear’s split.

According to the Grammy award-winning singer, he wrote the song just two hours after he called it quits with 36-year-old Britney Spears.

Prior to now, there have been long-standing rumours that the former N’Sync member crafted the track in response to their breakup, but he is openly admitting it for the first time. He wrote,

“I’ve been scorned. I’ve been pissed off. The feelings I had were so strong I had to write it,” he writes of the breakup ballad. “I translated my feelings into a form where people could listen and hopefully relate to it. People heard me and they understood it because we’ve all been there,” he also said of the track.

The iconic song was released in 2002, just following the pair’s split and Justin refrains from mentioning Spears’s name in the book.

Justin’s new book was released on October 30th and he talks about more than his music though as he also discusses details of his marriage with Jessica Biel as well. In the text, he recalls the first time he met his now wife.

“When I met Jess, it was undeniable how beautiful she is,” Timberlake gushed in his book. “We were at a surprise party in Hollywood at a speakeasy kind of bar, a private club, and we were standing around in a group of people.”

It would be recalled Britney and Justin dated from 1998 to 2002 after meeting on the set of Th e Mickey Mouse Club.

2019: Calabar lawmaker reveals what will lead to Nigeria’s final break-up

2019: Calabar lawmaker reveals what will lead to Nigeria’s final break-up

By Eje Peter

The member representing Calabar South/Bakassi/Akpabuyo federal constituency, Hon. Essien Ayi, has cautioned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) not to circumvent the wishes of Nigerians in the forth coming 2019 general elections.

“If such is done, it will lead to final disintegration of this country, mark my word, and write it down” he stated.

Speaking while inaugurating his 2019 election central planning committee, the fifth time member in the House of Representatives said “We prayed, believed and hoped that the present INEC should be the kind of transparency the INEC of Jega showed, which make former President Good Luck Jonathan who losses to concede.

“The present INEC should even improve on that, if they want this country to remain in peace and together, and if they try to circumvent the wishes of the people, it will lead to final disintegration of this country, mark my word, writes it down” he stated.

Hon Ayi who thanked God for making him a candidate for the 5th time in the history of Cross River State, regretted that his party, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) was going to contest the 2019 election on the position of opposition.

“This is the first time we are contesting election as opposition party, right from the beginning, we have been in the ruling party. We felt we should put everything in order so that we can kick start on Nov 18th when INEC would lift ban on open campaign for the forth coming elections for National Assembly and the Presidential elections.

“Coming from that position, we should re-arrange our things; it should not be as before. Today, we have formed our central planning committee for the elections.

“Even though it is a planning committee for Hon Essien Ayi 2019, we have the task of delivering all our candidates from President to governor to House of Assembly members.

“We are going to constitute our own and if others have theirs, we can synergize with a simple goal of delivering our party PDP” he said.

Asamoah Gyan files for divorce; demands DNA test to determine he is kids’ father

Asamoah Gyan files for divorce; demands DNA test to determine he is kids’ father

Asamoah Gyan with his wife Gifty
By Eje Peter
Ghanaian footballer and captain of the Ghana Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan has allegedly filed for divorce from his wife, Gifty Gyan, at the Divorce and Matrimonial Division of the High Court, Accra.

The footballer has also denied fathering their three children and is demanding a DNA test to be carried out on all three to ascertain if he is the father of the children.

GhanaWeb.com is reliably informed that Gyan and his wife Gifty have not seen eye to eye in the last few months, but the desire of the Black Stars captain to officially terminate the five-year marriage is a clear indication that their differences have now become irreconcilable.

The news outlet is also reliably informed that the footballer, who filed for divorce in August this year is currently making preparation to marry an Accra-based business woman, once his marriage to Gifty is annulled by the court.

Although Gyan has had a ‘scandal-laden’ career, he has successfully shielded his wife and three children from the public eye and media scrutiny.

Details of why Asamoah Gyan’s marriage to Gifty has hit the rocks are unknown but sources close to the estranged wife say Gyan grew cold towards Gifty after another woman came into his life.

The said woman was in June this year mistaken for Asamoah Gyan’s wife at the grand opening of his new sports bar located in Osu, Accra.

Interestingly, the same lady was mentioned as Asamoah Gyan’s wife when Emmanuel ‘Game Boy’ Tagoe fought his last bout in defense of his IBO World title this month.

She was also spotted in town with the footballer when he came to Ghana recently for his summer vacation.

When rumors started making the rounds earlier this year about a possible love-affair between Gyan and the said woman, the business woman denied it.

She explained that her relationship with Gyan was purely professional as she owns a property that houses one of Gyan’s companies. But investigation by GhanaWeb reveals that the relationship between the business woman and Asamoah Gyan is beyond ‘landlord- tenant’ relationship as the two are currently courting and set to marry after his divorce to his current wife Gifty Gyan.

The latest indication of the current troubles in the marriage was the alleged seizure of Gifty’s passport by Baffour Gyan, who is the elder brother of Asamoah Gyan, to supposedly prevent her from returning to Asamoah’s residence in the United Kingdom.

Gyan and Gifty have been together since 2003 and got married in 2013 after their second child was born.

Sources close to Asamoah Gyan confirmed GhanaWeb’s s tory but declined to comment publicly.

TENSION in Abuja: Death, blood, as Shiites, soldiers clash in Abuja

TENSION in Abuja: Death, blood, as Shiites, soldiers clash in Abuja

By Eje Peter
Palpable tension gripped Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) yesterday as the clashes between members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) and the Army entered its second day, with the group, also known as Shiites, claiming that about 15 of its adherents were killed.

The military refused to confirm the Shiites’ claim last night as the Director of Defence Information, Brig-Gen John Agim, said he could not speak on the matter as it was purely the business of the Army.

“People have been calling me and I told them I don’t have information about it. When there’s something purely Army, you should speak to the Army PRO,” he said.

Several calls made to the Director of Army Public Relations, Brig-Gen Texas Chukwu, were not answered. A text message sent to him was not replied either.

Like last Sunday, the seat of the federal government had erupted in violent confrontation between the Islamic group and the Army as Shiites continued with their protest of the continued detention of their leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, by the Department of State Services (DSS) despite multiple orders of court for his release.

Yesterday’s clash began with the convergence of the Shiites at the nation’s capital for the annual Arbaeen symbolic trek, which also served as cover for a protest march against the continued detention of their spiritual leader by the federal authorities.

Violent scenes marred the rituals, officially due to end today as some of the sect members were killed in the confrontation with the Army in the Maraba- Nyanya metropolis of Abuja.

When the crisis first unfolded on Saturday, troops from the Army Headquarters Garrison at Zuba, Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT, reportedly gunned down five followers of the sect. The Army, however, claimed responsibility for three deaths.

Since the clash at Zuba, there has been heavy security presence in all the major entry points into the city, in an attempt to curb anarchy and loss of lives. Soldiers and policemen manned public parks, the federal secretariat and other major government institutions.

The Shiite procession caused a heavy gridlock on the ever busy Kubwa Expressway, while the military and the police made combined the efforts to put the situation under control.

However, about 5p.m., tempers boiled over as the military and the sect clashed in the Kugbo area near Abuja, when the group marched towards the military check point, in defiance of the heavy security presence.

The clashes disrupted the free flow of traffic while many pedestrians scampered for safety.

The leader of the Shiite sect, Abdullahi Mohammed, told THISDAY that more than 15 members of the sect were killed when the military opened fire on them at the Nyanya Check Point in the Kugbo, Old Karu Area. He said in spite of the casualties, they remained upbeat and would march on today to mark the end of the Arbaeen ritual.

“I can tell you that more than 15 members of our group were killed when the Army opened fire on our procession as soon as we approached the check point. I survived the shootings because I was not in the front, while the victims were those in the front column of the procession,” Mohammed said.

The Commander Army Headquarters Garrison, Maj-Gen James Myam, had in a statement on Sunday, said the troops opened fire in self defence, when they came under Shiites’ attack in Zuba, while escorting ammunitions and missiles from Abuja to the Army Central Ammunition Depot in Kaduna State.

Myam said the sect established an illegal road block and denied motorists free passage.

According to him, when the troops’ convoy attempted to clear the road block, they met stiff opposition from the sect, who pelted them with stones and other dangerous items, in the process, smashing both military and civilian vehicles’ windscreens and windows.

He said the troops opened fire when the sect attempted to overrun the escorts to cart away the ammunition and missiles the troops were escorting.

Obasanjo, IBB, others mourn Anenih

By Eje Peter
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo yesterday said the death of a former Minister of Works, Tony Anenih, marked the end of the “inspiring chapter of Nigeria’s history.”

Obasanjo, in a condolence letter to the head of Anenih’s family, said the late politician lived a well-fulfilled life.

He said: “Anenih’s life was an archetypal lesson in public service and leadership at its best. He had to himself a life full of accomplishments and meritorious services to the local and national communities. He served the nation with devotion and diligence in his chosen profession. His service in the Nigeria Police Force was distinguished by high professional standard.

“He was an epitome of humility and quiet dignity both in service and retirement, even though he rose to the rank of Commissioner of Police before retirement.”

Former Military President General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida described the late former works minister, Tony Anenih, as a charismatic leader with unique passion of providing solutions in governance of the country, saying his death was a big loss to the country, especially coming at this crucial time of electioneering campaign.

A former governor of Edo State, Lucky Igbinedion, described Anenih as a bridge builder with a large heart who accommodated everyone, saying his death had created a huge vacuum in the political life of Edo State and Nigeria at large.

Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, also described Anenih’s demise as a great loss to the nation.

In the same vein, Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun, described the late former Minister of Works, Chief Tony Anenih, as an uncommon politician, whose demise “is a great loss to the nation.”

The Edo State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party described Anenih as a detribalized leader who imparted on the people of the state and Nigeria.

The Kwara State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party commiserated with the Anenih family, government and people of Edo State over the death of their beloved son and elder statesman, Tony Anenih.

More prominent Nigerians yesterday poured encomiums on the late former Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Tony Anenih, who died on Sunday.

Anenih, also a former Minister for Works, passed on at a private hospital in Abuja. He was aged 85 years.

Among the eminent personalities who poured praises on the renowned politician were former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (rtd); former President Goodluck Jonathan; former Vice President Atiku Abubakar; Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki; National Chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, and Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun; Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson; and Benue State Governor, Samuel Otorm.

Others are former Senate President, Senator Ken Nnamani; former Minister of Special Duties, Mr. Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, and former caretaker Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Ahmed Makarfi

Ayade: Why Israelis are training 1000 Cross River farmers

In furtherance of his desire to make Cross River the leading rice producing state in the country, the state governor, Prof Ben Ayade, has signed a pact with the government of Israel to train 1000 rice farmers on modern farming techniques.
Speaking at an orientation exercise for the farmers at the Ayade Industrial Park, Calabar, Governor Ayade stated that the training was to create wealth for farmers through capacity building and access to modern farming techniques and equipment.
According to him, "Today's exercise is to announce to the world that Cross River is fully prepared to become number one rice producer in Nigeria with the training and equipping of over 1000 farmers with 21st century farming skills in the first phase of the training progamme."
Ayade disclosed that the decision to bring Israeli experts to handle the training is to expose farmers in the state to modern farming methods and machines.
"I brought experts from Israel to train us and allow us to have the full benefit of our rice factory that we have set up here for maximal benefits to the citizenry."
He said the training programme is also part of his administration's deliberate programme to industrialize the state with a view to decoupling it from over dependence on federal allocations.
"By the time we are done training the 12, 000 rice farmers so far identified, Cross River will become number one and self sufficient in rice production in Nigeria," he assured.
While urging the beneficiaries to take advantage of the training seriously the governor explained: "I come with all sincerity of purpose because it is not in my nature to play politics with anything I do for the people. My politics has ethics and in ethics, we have attitude and morality comes first.
"Today, as a state, we have the highest number of factories and industries set up in Nigeria since 2015. We don't have the highest allocation, we are actually second to the last but we are number one in everything because we don't mix politics with what we do here," he stressed.
On access to finance, the Governor hinted that "we are setting up a micro finance bank that will give interest free loans to all farmers and all the instrumentality of the Bank of Agriculture will pass through our bank for easy access to facility."
As a way of encouraging women to participate in the programme Ayade said: "I charge those responsible for distribution of the facility to allocate 60 percent to women, youths 30, while the men should be allocated 10 percent respectively."
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CSS Group of Companies, the firm facilitating the training programme, Dr. John Kennedy Opara extolled Ayade's foresight by venture into agriculture.
"I am so proud of the Governor because like I said to him,  whatever you can picture you can capture and His Excellency is picturing the future he wants to make sure he can capture for Cross River State and we are glad to partner the state."
While offering advice to the trainees,  Okpara said: "I want to encourage you as you come for your training in Abuja.  It's a very intensive two weeks training program, and I believe that you will come back as refined farmers, you will come back great farmers that will add value.
"We need to change the system in our country, we need to change our concept, and I believe that this is the opportunity that God is providing for us to do that. Thank God for the Bank of Agriculture in terms of finance. I believe if every Nigerian is comfortable,  we don't need to struggle for federal offices."

A lady who slid into the comment section of Paul Okoye to recount her dream, got attention of the singer who reacted.

The busty lady claimed that she slept with Paul Okoye in the dream and further asked what it means. However the singer replied by calling it a ‘bad dream’.

Here is a screenshot of their exchange below;

This is coming after the singer disclosed that his wife, Anita is his first love. Sharing his love story, Paul Okoye said;

We met at the University of Abuja. I was a final year student and she was a freshman. I had a crush on a certain girl who I was supposed to meet with. But, when I called her, she told me she was at a friend’s place and invited me over. When I got there, I met Anita who was also visiting and somehow, I managed to get her telephone number. Everything changed from that moment.

She is the only woman I have ever loved. We started off as friends before we became partners; I don’t consider us to be in a relationship and that is why I describe her as my partner and a very important part of my life.

BIG Surprise! See new person Obasanjo is campaigning for

Olusegun Obasanjo has many interests as far as politics is concerned but it would be difficult to predict that he would be off to the oil-rich state of Akwa Ibom to subtly campaign for the incumbent governor.

Whether many likes it or not, the former president has a major say in political decision making in Nigeria.

On Sunday, Obasanjo worshipped with Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom at Qua Iboe Church, Uyo, and urged the people to support the governor’s second term ambition.

Former Nigerian President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo urged Akwa Ibom people to do everything within their powers to reelect Governor Udom Emmanuel in 2019 as his commitment to developing Akwa Ibom State will take Akwa Ibomites to new levels of collective economic prosperity, saying the people should roundly reject the message of change being propagated by a few people in the State who were out to pursue selfish political agenda.

The former President said judging by results, Governor Udom Emmanuel’s effort has produced in major sectors of the Akwa Ibom State economy, there is need for Akwa Ibom people to insure their future and that of their children by massively supporting Governor Udom Emmanuel to continue as Governor in 2019.

Chief Obasanjo said “Children of God, we have a good product (Udom Emmanuel) and there is no need for change. He is a true child of God and he will fear not and will stand still, so please Akwa Ibom people continue to stand with him”

He said as someone who has served as a leader, he is impressed by the strong pillars of socio-economic development Governor Emmanuel has erected in the last three and a half years in Akwa Ibom State, stressing that the structures will build on those pillars to positively turnaround the fortunes of Akwa Ibom people.

Speaking earlier at the worship service, Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel said vision for Akwa Ibom State is to place the state as a model in fast-paced development among the states in the nation, stressing that no amount of propaganda by the opposition will distract him from this patriotic task.

On the insinuations that he has been unfair to his predecessor, Senator Akpabio, Governor Emmanuel pointed out that his prayers has always been that God should give him the kind of successor he has been to Senator Akpabio.

Apparently reacting to speculations that he may have been too hard against Senator Godswill Akpabio, Governor Emmanuel, attested that when he leaves office in 2023, he would be very happy to receive from his successor, the same measure of treatment he meted on his predecessor.

“The Bible says, in all these things we are more than conquerors. The Bible says in Deuteronomy, that the Lord would not hearken unto Balak, and all he meant for evil, God turned it into blessings for me.”

Describing Obasanjo as his Political father, Mr. Emmanuel predicted that his visit to Akwa Ibom, signifies more developments for the state and for the country.

“I can say that the visit is a solidarity visit of a political father to his son

The Church Service was attended by Prelate Sunday Mbang, Akwa Ibom First Lady, Deaconess Martha Emmanuel,The Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr Moses Ekpo, Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, members of the State Executive Council as well as a crowd of worshippers.
