In a democratic settings like Nigeria, the Legislature is a multidimensional, structural-functional and institutional body with the core mandates to work on making changes to existing laws or passing new legislation based on the constituents’ needs and overseeing various aspects of government policies and Programmes. In Additon, the legislators duties includes but not limited to: creating policies, appropriation of fund, participating in debates on proposed legislation, negotiating funding for their constituency projects amongst others.

And in doing the above, the legislators must stay in constant touch with his/her constituents, advisers as well as  conducting researches to make informed decisions as it may concern the well being of the People.

However, the current status quo in Yala 1 State Constituency of Cross River State is regrettably diametrical to the aformentiond and perpendicular to an idealed legislative disposition and discretion. With  no records of any meaningful Bill Sponsored nor Motions Moved that have a direct bearing on the well-being of our People, neither do we have any single developmental project been negotiated to our communities via legislative platforms over the years.

The gimmick so far had been that, once the election is over and a winner emerged, the bridge connecting the leaders and the leds is dismantled until another year of elections. "For how long shall we continue like this" is the question on the lips of every concerned Persons. Thus, the yearnings for a genuine change of narratives.

A VIABLE OPTION: AN ASSESSMENT OF HON.  CHIEF  GEORGE OGONYI.

The Yache Ekpari Born Grassroots Politician is a bodacious Explorer,  a prototypical Prolocutor, an intrepid Entrepreneur with a span of over Twenty Fruitful years of experience in the private sector with negotiating and bargaining dexterity in his fingers tips. In addition,  Hon George is also an altruist of  unimaginable feats and a good listener.

All these are ubiquitous  requisite potentials/ qualities needed to fill the hitherto hollow vacuum in Yala 1 State Constituency of Cross River State House of Assembly.

It is hereby,  time to do the needful and change the leadership narratives in our Land especially now that the Supersonic, Digital Governor Ayade Benedict, in his magnanimity has discountenance the cacophony of automatic tickets for the incumbent Law Makers in the State by calling for a fair and leveled playing ground for every Aspirants under the platform of PDP in the State.

I therefore seized this golden opportunity to call on the Party Stakeholders as well as admonish all our delegates to the forth coming Primary Election to  ensure that,  Hon. George Ogonyi (The High Star 🌟🌟 🌟  Civilian General), emerged as the Party flag bearer for the PDP.

For purposeful driven leadership, inclusive representation and guaranteed dividends of democracy, Vote: Hon George Ogonyi for Yala 1 State Constituency, Cross River State House of Assembly comes 2019.
