Governor Ben Ayade has today, 25th September, 2018, paid salaries to primary school teachers for the month of September, 2018.
While thanking the Governor, Executive Chairman State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr Stephen Odey commended him for his consistent and prompt payment of salaries and his continuous support towards the growth of basic education in the State.
You will recall that the Governor has recently given approval for the recruitment of 2000 teachers and 500 security personnel to bridge the existing gap in the sector. As at the time of this report, over 20,000 applications have been received.
Due to the large number of applications already received, the SUBEB Boss has stated that the recruitment portal will be shut down on Friday, 28th September 2018 to enable the Board process applications and attend to applicants for the next stage of the recruitment process.
