Mr Chikwendu Kanu, the Speaker, Abia House of Assembly, has urged Christians to have a sober reflection and return to God to exhibit the essence of Easter.
Kanu said this during his Easter Sunday worship at All Saints Church, Anglican Communion, Ngwaobi 1, in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government, Abia.
Addressing the congregation, the Speaker stressed that Easter was a wonderful moment for everyone to make amends and return to God.
He said: “Any time I think along that line, I remember how I came into the world, I wouldn’t remember how I’m going to exit.
“The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 12:13, that we should fear God and keep His command, which is all we are created for.
“There is need for us to amend our ways and go back to our Creator and have it in our minds that we came into this world one day and know that we will definitely leave it one day.”
Meanwhile, the Speaker later inspected and expressed satisfaction at the ongoing construction and renovation at the Government Secondary Technical College, Ngwaobi, by the Abia State Universal Basic Education Board, (ASUBEB)
He lauded Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu for his revolutionary leadership in the state, especially in the area of education.
