An Open Letter To Chief Jude Ikaba Ngaji The Special Adviser On Security To Governor Benedict Ayade...Thompson Idagu Yeche

Sir, let me  start by appreciating you over your commendable achievements as a state security special adviser in  the last few years.

So far in steering the ship of leadership to a peaceful and promising Cross River State, you have succeeded in bringing about peace, unity and togetherness in the state.

Sir, you were able to achieved all these  through your determination, honest and committed desire.

Although, security is the greatest challenge and as  a state security adviser, you're sincerely trying your best.

Security threats such as violent, armed robbery,  kidnapping and herdsmen attacks have assumed worrisome dimensions in Cross River State .

Sir, in a room where people unanimously maintain
a conspiracy of silence,
one word of truth
sounds like a pistol shot.

I am one of your  fan and supporter, I believed so much in your political ideology and capacity.

In fact, I am #Judefied in and out and i support not too young to rule.

But like Oliver Twist and a member of See Something, Say Something and Do Something, I feel I should ask for more.

Sir, i wish to draw your attention and call to the recent herdsmen  attacked in #Okuku Yala Local Government Area of Cross River State.

Sir, I wouldn't want to bored you with too many write up.

To be precise, our people are not happy 'that' Yala today is passing through  activities of the evil herdsmen and those who have chosen to attack, sack, causing tension and kill for no just reason.

This is a very difficult moment in the history of Yala communities and its environs.

Yala have lost count of the casualty index and the state  government is not taking any proactive measures to cocktail the situation.

Sir, we wish it doesn’t degenerate to a worse state because war has no friends.

Our people are not troubleshooters, we can coexist and live with any strangers.

But how long should we continue living with fears and agony?

Should our people run away from their ancestry  communities because of herdsmen?

Last year, #Ugaga community came under heavy and gruesome attacks by maurading Fulani herdsmen and as we speak, the community clan head and the youths leader are still suffering because of this communal crisis.

Since that fateful day, peace has eluded the Yala communities

Three days ago, Yala people were woken up to another fresh attacks.

Our people are now  leaving with tears, sorrow, despair and apprehension.

Sir, as a state security adviser, we want you to  appeal to the state government and brief the governor properly concerning this wanton and senseless attacks on our people.

Its a duty of a  government to provide safety of lives and properties.

We have to stand up and defend our community now before it's too late.

We must Stand up to this herdsmen obstacles and do something about them.

If we are truly concerned about our people, we have to put the onus on whoever that's in charge to do a better job.

If we do not take urgent steps to halt and reverse this herdsmen current trend that's taking an erosive toll on our common humanity, it would cause a lot of security havoc in the nearest future.

For the agony of the people of Yala to come to an end, this senseless attacks by the herdsmen must be  stopped.

The perpetrators of these colossal crimes against humanity must be halted, once and for all.

In conclusion Sir, I wish to state that throughout my  life and in the history of Yala, I have never seen where a politician is yet to declare interest to vie for an elective position, but the people are already coming out  and declaring  their supports.

Sir. The people are doing this because they  believe you're a leader they can  trust.

Chief, it is based on these that I decided to write to remind and draw your attention on the above important issues which I believe will go a long way in showcasing love, trust and confidence of the people in you.

While I wish you success in your strides, I hope you will look into this letter objectively and address the issues raised.

God bless you.

Thompson Idagu Yeche.

CEO #YalaMyPride.
