Wahala! Atiku files application to see all materials used for presidential elections

The People’s Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has filed for access to all INEC materials used to conduct the presidential election before the tribunal.
Atiku and PDP filed the ex-Parte application before the Presidential election petition tribunal seated at the Court of Appeal in Abuja.
The motion filed by the PDP candidate and the party seeks to get permission to the database of the smartcard readers and all the election materials for audit.
The PDP presidential candidate in the February 23 election, lost to the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
After the result of the presidential election was announced, Atiku called the election a sham and rejected the result and said he will challenge it in court.
Atiku decried the militarization of the electoral process, the ‘statistical impossibility’ of states ravaged by the war on terror generating much higher voter turnouts than peaceful states, and the suppressed votes in PDP strongholds.
According to the Independent National Electoral Commission, the former vice president lost the election with more than a three million vote margin.
Atiku claimed he would have called the victor within seconds of his being aware of his opponent’s victory if he had lost in a free and fair election.
The spokesperson of the APC presidential campaign council, Festus Keyamo, said the Atiku has a right to head to court and that the APC is anxious to meet Atiku in court.
“Our official position is that we believe that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has a constitutional right to seek redress in court and we do not seek in any way to curtail that right.
“In fact, it is the resort to court that is the only democratic way to ventilate his perceived grievance and any attempt to restrict or discourage the exercise of such right would be an invitation to anarchy,” he said.
“In addition, we are very anxious to meet Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in court in order to show the world in a conclusive manner the free and fair nature of the comprehensive defeat of Atiku at the polls. An election is not termed ‘rigged’ only by the mere claim of it by the loser. That is what Atiku and the PDP want to ram down our throats.”

Secondus to INEC: You are piling gunpowder

......And history is recording .

......You are planning with APC  to takeover delta, Sokoto, Kaduna, Akwa Ibom, Kwara and Rivers

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus has told the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, that by conniving with the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to thwart the will of Nigeria people they are piling gunpowder which when it explodes may leave the country in ruin.

Prince Secondus who led members of the National Working Commitee, NWC, other leaders and crowd of the party supporters in protest at the INEC's Maitama, Abuja headquarters on Tuesday told the Commission officials who came to receive their complaints, that they should not allow their action bring trouble in the country.

The National Chairman said that INEC's roles in Presidential and National Assembly role on February 23, fell short of the required standard and cannot stand any scrutiny.

In a statement from his media office, PRINCE Secondus told the commission that after 2015 peaceful and transparent election anybody conducting a charade in the name of election should know the implications of pilling a keg of gunpowder in one's house, when it explodes nobody will be free of the harm.

Prince Secondus said that after February 23 fraud the party is in possession of credible intelligence that some INEC officials are already working with the APC to again thwart the will of the people in Delta, Akwa Ibom, Sokoto, Rivers, Kwara and Kaduna states warning that the commission should know that every action has a consequences both to man and before God.

He said that the leadership of the PDP under his watch has the authority of members of the party across the country and in diaspora to leave no stone unturned until the stolen mandate of the party is recovered.

"The mood in the country shows clearly that you inec declared the wrong person winner in the Presidential election and I urge you to watch your action because history is recording all you do for posterity

"The APC is deploying military operatives to help some of your black legs manipulate Saturday's elections in some states particularly Kaduna, Delta, Sokoto, AKWA Ibom, Rivers and Kwara but Nigerians in those states have mobilized to defend their votes.

Three National Commissioners led by Mrs May Agbamuche received the PDP leaders and assured that the commission will look into the party's complaints.

As the leadership of the party talked outside the front gate of the Commission, the angry crowd poured courses on the INeC Chairman Prof Mahmood Yakubu and National Commissioner  Amina Zakari as they chanted 'we want original result', 'INEC release original result', 'INEC declare Atiku winner' ' Yakubu there is God, Yakubu shame on you' etc.

INEC Robbed APC, Akpabio Of Victory, Buhari Alleges

INEC Robbed APC, Akpabio Of Victory, Buhari Alleges by Godjone(m): 5:59am
Okon Bassey in Uyo

President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday alleged that the votes of the people of Akwa Ibom State were stolen during the recent presidential and National Assembly elections, vowing that they would be reclaimed through proper channebookSpeaking yesterday through the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, at a town hall meeting held by the elders and stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Uyo, the state capital, the president called on the electorate in the state to defend their votes during Saturday’s governorship and State Assembly elections in the state.

Buhari said it was doubtful that the former Senate Minority Leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio lost the election, alleging that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) robbed Akpabio and the APC of victory at the polls.

He maintained that all the wrongs done during the presidential and National Assembly elections would be addressed through proper channel.
“What happened on February 23 was robbery. The votes of the people were stolen but we are not deterred. The president sent me to thank you today. We are going to make sure that everything that was stolen on the February 23 would be restored.

“It is not possible that Senator Godswill Akpabio lost. We are in no doubt that Senator Akpabio is the elected senator of Akwa Ibom North West senatorial district. I and Adams Oshiomhole, the National Chairman of the party have been in the opposition for long and we cannot be defeated anymore. “Everyone of you should go out to vote on Saturday and defend your votes; we cannot be cheated; not only you but tell your neighbours to vote for Obong Nsima Ekere and all APC candidates. Wait for your votes to be counted. It is the duty of the federal government to provide security and we will do that. We will recover every one of our votes.

Also speaking, Oshiomhole said the party was not in the state to lament but to thank the people of the state for doing their jobs and voting President Buhari.

He alleged that INEC colluded with some of the electoral officers to deny the state of its electoral victory on February 23, even though he claimed that the people voted for the party.

“We have not come here to brag that our mandate was stolen last week. We have come to thank you that you voted for President Buhari, and all members of the party. You did your job but some armed robbers in INEC stole your votes. “You think that those who stole your votes will have peace? We have come to reaffirm our commitment with democracy. We have come to affirm that no robber will go unpunished but when an electoral umpire is corrupt and collude with the opposition, we have the witnesses and we have lawyers to deal with that.
“On Saturday we are not going to wait for them to steal out votes. We call on Akwa Ibom people to protect their votes. We must maintain our sanity even in this hour of provocation. Those who committed democratic abortion would be brought to book,” he said. In his speech, the APC governorship candidate in the state, Nsima Ekere encouraged the people not to be deterred by the February 23 elections but to go out and vote during the March 9 elections, saying the party is sure of victory.
He said the people of the state were in need of change and proved it during his campaigns across the 31 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state.
Ekere assured the president that after March 9 elections, the state would not be in the opposition but would be reunited with the centre
“Thank you for what you are doing for APC. The people voted for you; that vote is a revalidation of what the people want. You put Nigeria’s economy back on track.

“We are here because we have faith in you and Mr. President. The opposition and INEC have no choice than to give us back our mandate. Whosoever shall attempt to work against the collective will of Akwa Ibom people, we shall collectively resist.
“We send a message to the electoral umpire and the other party that they must respect the votes of the people, every vote must count. Akwa Ibom people love APC”.

Akpabio blames Tinubu, Amaechi for his electoral failure, Says; "God will shame them" . See details.

Godswill Akpabio, a senator Akwa Ibom North-West District has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, Bola Tinubu and Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi for his failed bid to return to the Senate for a second term, saying "God will shame them ultimately."

Akpabio, who lost his reelection bid to Chris Ekpenyong was quoted by a very close source as saying that Amaechi particularly worked against his reelection so as to maintain his leadership of the APC in the South South.

The former Akwa Ibom State governor, who was PDP Leader in the Senate before decamping to the APC had scored 83,158 votes, while Ekpenyong scored 118,215 votes.

The source, who preferred anonymity because of his closeness to the Senator said he accused Tinubu of deliberate refusal to use his influence in the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure the removal of the State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mike Igini.

Akpabio was said to have vowed to fight with his last blood to retain the senatorial seat to shame Amaechi, whom he said never liked his defection to the APC.

The source said he charged some of his core loyalists in a meeting on Friday, that they should all rise and fight to regain his political pride.

"Oga is bittered, he is very angry. But he does not want to spill the beans yet, so as not to jeopardize whatever assistance that can be rendered on the Saturday governorship and House of Assembly elections. If not for the elections, which he is still hoping that federal might will be deployed to impose APC, he (Akpabio) would have started speaking against Tinubu and Amaechi," the source said.

Speaking further, the source quoted Senator Akpabio as saying; "In 2015, it was Amaechi that singlehandedly nominated the Ministers from South South States except Edo and Bayelsa. He also got his loyalists appointed into the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).

"Amaechi was even the one who got Nsima Ekere appointed as Managing Director of NDDC and when he resigned to contest the governorship of Akwa Ibom under APC, it was Amaechi who singlehandedly appointed his replacement.

"It is his (Amaechi) calculation that my return to Senate will place me in a vantage position to be the Senate President and that will automatically take the party leadership in the South South from him.

"In the case of Asiwaju Tinubu, he wants his wife as Deputy Senate President and that will only be possible if no one from the South emerges as the Senate President.

"As a two term governor with a lot of political influence, he (Tinubu) feared that if I'm reelected, it is as good as I'm the next Senate President and that he never wanted.

"Those are the reasons the duo of Amaechi and Tinubu worked against my reelection but I will shock them soon because we have not heard the last on the election."

Emefiele’s sack not true – CBN

The governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, has not been sacked, a senior management staff from the apex bank confided in our reporter on Monday.
According to the source who craved anonymity, the claim making the rounds that the CBN Governor has been sacked is not true.

Several online media have been awashed with news of the sack of Emefiele by the federal government, barely 4 months to the end of his tenure.
In a telephone conversation with our reporter on Monday evening, the source said: “I can confirm to you that he has not been sacked. He is in his office this minute attending to matters as the Governor. We don’t know where this rumour is coming from and we don’t understand what it is meant to achieve.”

Appeal Court Justices withdraw from Owan Enoh’s case over N250m bribery allegations

Justices of the Court of Appeal in Calabar, Monday, withdrew from hearing an appeal filed by Senator John Owan Enoh against the judgement of a Federal High Court that recognizes Pastor Usani Uguru Usani as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State.
This follows a petition by the Godwin Etim John-led leadership of the party in the state, accusing the justices of collecting N250 million bribe to swing judgement.
Speaking with journalists moments after the justices withdrew from hearing the appeal, counsel to Senator John Owan Enoh who is one of the factional APC governorship candidates in the state, Bernard Afu (esq), said they have been served the petition.
"What happened today is awkward, it is something that is strange to judicial proceedings. We were served with two strange petitions written by Godwin Etim John against the justices of the Court of Appeal."
According to him, "one of the petitions alleged that the justices have been given N250 million and the second petition did not allege any financial inducement.
"We addressed the court accordingly and the Honourable Justices of the Court of Appeal took a stand that they were withdrawing from the proceedings.”
Following the development, he said he expects that a new panel will be constituted constituted soon.

“Electoral Act states that an election result, once declared by the INEC Returning Officer for the election in question, cannot be questioned by the same INEC

“Upon declaration of the result of the election by the designated Returning Officer, the winner should be presented with certificate of return . Any dissatisfaction from any party should be redressed in tribunal and nothing more.

“Any judge in lower or higher courts who concedes to the manipulation of any politician by giving a restraining order to stop INEC from presenting certificate of returns to declared winners faces job lose among other punishments. It is our duty to protect the judiciary, “the source noted

BREAKING: AKPABIO PLOTS TO REPLACE CHIEF OF STAFF, ABBA KYARI

Following his loss at the just concluded National Assembly elections, former Senate Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio has made fresh moves to replace current Chief of Staff to the president, Abba Kyari.

A source at the presidency revealed that Senator Akpabio in the last 48 hours has had a couple of meetings with close confidants of the president and top officials to discuss the move.

Akpabio is proposing that should the president appoint him, a Christian from the core southern part of Nigeria into such a sensitive office, the current notion that Mr President is shielded by a cabal controlling the affairs of the state will die a natural death.

Akpabio is expected to tie the knots on that appointment with President Muhammadu Buhari as the latter is scheduled to visit Akwa Ibom State on Monday on a thank you tour where he will have a town hall meeting with a cross section of people from all walks of life.

The presidential advanced team have already checked into Bexco Hotel and Suites, 24 Abel Damina Avenue, Osongama Estate, in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.

The other presidential advanced team scheduled to be in Imo State have moved over to Delta State in anticipation of the president's visit.

The presidential source revealed  that part of the Akpabio's plan is to use the town hall parley in Uyo to instigate the audience to call for the redeployment of current top staff of INEC in the state, which should pave way for the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) to take over the oil rich state.

The former Governor of Akwa Ibom State had made similar inroutes into the presidency during the Goodluck Jonathan era, knocking off the like of former Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, who eventually left the PDP in acrimonious circumstances.

Abba Kyari was appointed Chief of Staff to the president on 27th August 2015. He was preceded by Brig.-Gen Jones Oladehinde Arogbofa and Chief Mike Oghiadomhe, who both served under President Goodluck Jonathan.

OUR LAST ASSIGNMENT - VOTING AYADE

Office of the SSA to the Governor of Cross River State on Mobilization and Enlightenment
March 3, 2019
Our last assignment in this political dispensation is to ensure that Governor Ben Ayade, the people's Governor, returns to power.
Governor Ayade has been a selfless leader, putting smiles on the faces of thousands of Cross Riverians through his philanthropic policy of "Food on the Table"
He has empowered very many; there is hardly any family in Cross River that has not benefited - either directly or through spillovers, from the Government of Ayade.
Education, the second most viable subsector, after agriculture in Cross River State has witnessed stability, boost and continuous growth for the past years Ayade assumed power because he has left no stone unturned. Gov. Ayade remains the most teachers-friendly Governor in the country.
Further, in his first tenure, Governor Ayade focused on laying the groundworks for industrial revolution and has also kick started the process. Calabar Garment Factory, Ikom Cocoa Processing Factory, Ogoja/Yala Rice Mill, Ekori Toothpick Factory are few cases that can attest to that.
Governor Ben Ayade has performed very excellently in the agric sector, the economic mainstay of Cross River State, as he has received award in this regard. Ayade's dream is to revolutionize the state's agricultural sector from the conventional agric practices of using crude farm implement to a modern mechanized farming. In the next tenure, farmers will no longer suffer the hazards of using hoe, cutlasses, diggers, and other simple farm tools.
Another key area Governor Ayade will focus is infrastructure as captured in the state budget for the next fiscal years. The key infrastructural project is the Super Highway which will gulp billions of Naira that will leave positive spillovers on the state economy.
The Governor has also made stern promise to complete ongoing road projects across the state.
Ayade who has, like never before, been very friendly to traditional rulers, will remain steadfast in his quest to empower the traditional institutions in the state.
Women will not be left behind because what is good for the goose is good for the gander; we have living proofs in this regard. Today, women voices are very loud in Governor Ayade's government owing to his philosophy on gender mainstreaming.
The youths of Cross River State, like never before in the course of history, tremendous participation in governance because of Ayade's open door policy and love for young people as well as the priority he has placed on their strategic position in the economy.
A vote for Ayade is a step towards a greater Cross River State. Ben Ayade cannot be deterred by voice and antics of opposition - his victory is sure.
Vote for Ayade, vote for industrial revolution, vote for educational advancement, vote for agricultural boom, vote for youth and women empowerment and vote for a greater Cross River.

"I Can Swear To Allah That Buhari Rigged This Election -Gumi

"2019 presidential polls have exposed the deep rot in the seemingly conservative northern Muslim society. I was shocked seeing poor village women lined up receiving N500 note each with instructions to vote the ruling party. Under-aged voters. Using the minbar as a partisan political pulpit. Name it, it all happened and widely. Zamfara’s case is the most pathetic".

"The president, INEC chairman, the security chiefs are all muslims. This is disgusting that such a colossal rigging and incompetency will happened with their apparent collaboration or silence. Islam remain free of any obligation to all human malevolence".

"The true winner in this poll, is the opposition that was for long suppressed with the stigma of ‘looters’ and corruption. No healthy governance develops without good effective opposition. Otherwise the nation was truly drifting to a one state party authoritarian dictatorship. We can see what is happening at present in Algeria, Sudan and our neighbors the Cameron . Therefore, the reemergence of the opposition back in full force to the extent that the ruling party has to embrace full blown corruption and rigging to retain power struggling with few millions of rigged votes is absolutely amazing and a good prognosis of a better nation".

"Truly Atiku Abubakar should be saluted for his dogged stand against authoritarian leadership tendencies. He has saved the nation is a way only history will vindicate him. I therefore urged him to reject the fake results, no credit should be given to falsehood and seek redress in the court of law, the same way, the president did in his previous attempts, he knows better when injustice is served". -Sheikh Gumni

I call on every citizen to conduct themselves with decorum and peaceful dialogue and follow the laws to its reasonable conclusion.

One thing -for sure- is that this nation needs urgent restructuring. INEC needs an overhaul. And like in some countries, the chairman should be elected by members of the state assemblies. All political prisoners should be released.
May Allah continue to protect us all from the evil of men and the unseen. Amim.
